Since I'm not going to be back in Seattle for a while, I decided to keep you all posted on my (and starting in April, Preston's) adventures over the next 6 months.
First stop: Ayacucho, Peru! This is a small city located in the Andes mountains at 9,500 ft. Culturally, it's very Incan. Most of the inhabitants speak Quechua, though hopefully some will speak Spanish (fingers crossed). Besides the fact that I'll be volunteering 5 days a week from February 7th-April 2nd, and living at the CCS "homebase" (the house where all CCS volunteers live), I don't know much else...
I guess that's what it is all about, though!
Next stop: South East Asia! On April 3rd, I'll be flying from Peru to L.A. to meet up with Preston. We will be in L.A. for a few days and then we're off to SE Asia for 4 months with our backpacks!
